A: The AFCS is a government-backed, no-fault scheme offering financial compensation to members of the UK Armed Forces who have suffered injury, illness, or death due to service on or after 6 April 2005.
A: Current and former service members, including reservists, are eligible to claim if their injury or illness is attributable to service.
A: Lump sum payments for pain and suffering, and Guaranteed Income Payments (GIP) for those unable to work or with reduced earning capacity.
A: You must claim within 7 years of the incident, diagnosis, or discharge, whichever is earliest.
