Did you sustain an injury or illness on or after 6 April 2005?
Have you started an AFCS claim, but struggle to find the support, understanding, or time to find and articulate all the facts and evidence needed for your case?
Do you believe negligence was the cause of your injury or illness?
We’re here to help.
The AFCS is a no-fault scheme, but the system setup, evidence required, and sheer complexity of the subject matter can make it a long, drawn-out battle at a time when you’re already feeling overwhelmed.
With i2i on your side, you’ll be guided through the process by fellow Veterans who’ve been exactly where you are.
We’ll look at who you are

The Armed Forces Compensation Scheme (AFCS) is a scheme which compensates for injury, illness, or death caused by your time serving our country on or after 6 April 2005.
The AFCS offers two types of awards:
A tax-free lump sum for pain and suffering valued between £1,200 and £570,000
A Guaranteed Income Payment (GIP) awarded for an injury or illness that will have a life-long impact.
Claims must be made within 7 years* of the illness or injury, whichever of the following dates is earliest:
The date of incident which lead to the injury/illness
The date the injury/illness (not attributable to service) was made worse by the service
The date you first sought medical advice for your illness
The date of discharge

All claims can be submitted whilst still serving and you do not need to wait until discharge.

Have you been given an interim award, but unsure what you should do within the period given?
or
Have you received a final award that does not equate to the severity and impact of the injury/illness?
or
Did the service only accept partial liability?
In these circumstances we will review your case, the outcome awarded and the evidence you hold to see if the awarding level is appropriate to the injury or illness you sustained.
Do you think there may also be grounds for negligence by the MOD?
Or
Are you not eligible for the AFCS because your incident was before 6 April 2005?
You may be eligible for The War Pension Scheme (WPS).
